When you pick up Ember she's not strong enough to outshine anyone, especially if you don't put time in her, she's mediocre at that point. She isn't terrible but shes not nearly strong enough to warrant a nerf. No one has every said "Man, ember is so strong that she completely outshines every other damage focused warframe." because she isn't. Most players think that her augment for WoF is the most important thing about her seeing as it provides some much needed CC to keep her alive. How is that fair? You've worked to get to that point but you were put in a bad position because you worked, you would have been better off just not learning how to skate and going in the Olympics.Įmber has never been seen as an S tier warframe when it came to what she's been nerfed for. You know you're going to win but the judges decide that because you worked to get to that point and the others haven't they are going to replace your skates with rocks. It comes up to the ice skating event and every other competitor that you have to go up against have never skated before. Imagine if you went to the Olympics as an athlete and you're an ice skater, you've been training since you could walk and you've finally gotten to your dream, the thing you put countless hours into. Nerfing things that do not need to be nerfed does nothing but make that person mad. PLEASE STOP DOING THIS! If someone has played this game for 2000 hours and has insanely strong gear then good on them, they deserved that. It feels like there no point to maximizing the tools we're given because they're just gonna be destroyed in a change, the only way to not lose time and effort is to not play. Why should players that invest in a certain warframe or weapon in order to make it stronger be punished? It seems like almost every update a change is made that nullifies the whole point of putting Forma and Catalyst/Reactors. Sure its not as strong in the PoE which seems to be what DE is pushing balance towards, which is an awful choice considering that most of the content is NOT on the Plains. Ember's WoF is so much weaker than weapons with Maiming Strike which makes it a much better way to clear large amounts of enemies that are spread out. This mod greatly benefits weapons with extreme amounts of range and mind you, melee attacks can go through walls and paired with Primed Reach can devour an entire room in most cases. Maiming Strike is an insane mod that will allow your weapon to have a FLAT 90% CRITICAL STRIKE CHANCE on a slide attack. You can kill 1 enemy and destroy 2 other rooms by detonating Maim. 75% of the maximum shields and health of each enemy killed within the aura as damage. Equinox can build full range for day form and not even bother building any damage what so ever and can still do more damage than Ember could dream of because of the way Maim works. I'm sure when you think of why Ember was nerfed you immediately think of Equinox, the queen of long range nuking. Ember had "too much range and lethality" and it ruined the game for newer players when they had to play with a veteran but there are some other ways that are not only similar, but so much stronger. DE's reasoning behind WoF nerf was that they didn't like how players that invested in their Ember went into low level missions and blasted through it while the new comers don't get to enjoy anything.
